Wonderful artwork, truly, " a picture worth a thousand words," and more than all those words. I have lived next to many American Indian reservations and this image pulls many memories back fresh in my mind. It is a very well done peace in believability, history, present and as others have said, hope. The fact that her chair is over, what looks like a water-well, really is the focus point for me. Maybe it is only a horse shoe box??? What really matters is you created an image that my mind is running around in and for me it is quite enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your art.
There is a real bleakness to the scene, but her body language, the paint and clothes - it all implies hope and playfulness as well as acceptance of the situation. Really nice - thanks
