Beautiful! I love the contrast between the ice-blue and the fire-red. It's even made stronger by the brick wall and the tunnel behind her: unbending stones and round curves. Daring, elegant and powerful
I always end up saying it anyways. -_- Fashion shouldn't be throwing a few pieces of clothing together and calling it art. Y'know what? If people wanna spend time making and paying for this crap, then people should AT LEAST wear it in public. I LOVE crazy looks, but there should be more people wearing this stuff, and wearing it loud and proud in the streets.
haha i know what you mean but fashion isnt just about being able to wear it. i dont think people expect things like this to be worn anywhere they are more about showing ideas, expression and being memorable using fashion than just making pretty clothes, just like people do with art. Although fashion designers dont usually come to mind as "artists" they also want to create unique works to be remembered and have a name like other artists. (No one would be happy making standard t-shirts for their whole life that no one would remember in 5 years) and a lot of wealthy people like to also buy those clothes. you might not see them down the street but they do get worn at high class events and sometimes people will buy from one designer just to own a piece from them. (like some people do with paintings etc) im sure theres other reasons behind it too. you can read articles like this for a good idea: online.wsj.com/article/SB10001...
I don't really want to look at that article, and everything you told me I already knew. I'm not ignorant to this topic. Not one bit. I LOVE fashion, and I have wonderful taste. I believe that anyone who has a talent in the arts should be considered an artist, should they not? After all, if someone works in a field of art, then how are they NOT artists? Fact and personal opinion are on two whole different bases. Not all artists are drawers or painters, or sculptors. Singing is an art, writing is an art, clothes designing is and art, the list is endless. Here's three different definitions of art:
1.creation of beautiful things: the creation of beautiful or thought-provoking works, e.g. in painting, music, or writing
2.beautiful objects: beautiful or thought-provoking works produced through creative activity
3.branch of art: a branch or category of art, especially one of the visual arts
Though, music, writing, and painting obviously aren't all forms of art. There are MANY different definitions of art, but the whole point is that it's all about diversity. There are TONS of different forms of art, like dancing. I like to be open minded. I LOVE art. Though, I have to admit, her outfit is one of the stranger ones I've seen... I'm more into crazy hairstyles with crazy colors, and obnoxious outfits.^O^ Though, elegance like with ball gowns is also favored.^^
Wow. Gotta love it when a creative team comes together like this. FANTASTIC. Just perfect the way the gorgeous blue Garroudi dress arcs up emerging from this field of blue light in which you've cast the foreground, to carve through the contrasting warm tones of the tunnel ceiling. Make-up, and styling totally on point as well. It's the fact that artists like you are still using Da that makes it worthwhile to hang around.
